WHO IS THIS FOR? This template provides simple, legally-binding contract language for business, professional, or life coaching arrangements. This is for the short-term, one-off type of arrangement between a business coach and an individual or small business client. As such, it was written to be SHORT + SWEET! If your relationship is expected to be long-term and/or high-dollar value (e.g. corporate clients), it is generally recommended to either (1) use one of our longer, more thorough “master” services agreement templates, OR (2) hire an attorney directly to draft you a custom contract (see below to contact Kae if interested).

WHAT’S INCLUDED? This simple, 2-page contract template was written from the angle of the coach to make the client process easy and streamlined. It includes concise terms and protections such as:

1. Framework for limiting the scope of services to only what is specifically agreed-upon.

2. Terms relating to payment, invoice, no refunds, and no guarantees.

3. Ownership and licensing of intellectual property created by the coach

4. Termination rights for the coach, if needed, to cancel the agreement.

5. Indemnity protection for coach for liabilities arising out of client’s use of the coaching services.

6. Coach’s choice of law and venue (to reduce chances you could be sued in another state)!
